Day 1 of TAFE was interesting as well as a bit long and tiring.
The group had grown by two new members that automatically sent sparks flying between each other and sort of messing with the group dynamic that we had already set up within two classes.
We learnt through the groups somewhat heated discussion that perception is the key to everything, how some people perceived what was said differed from how I did and I am sure others. It ended with one class member leaving due to not argreeing with what was happening because of how people reacted to what they said. It ended up getting so out of hand people asked if we could move on to stuff more relevant. However I found what happened very relevant as it showed how people react when something is offensive to them and how some people need to leave to cool off and others get really emotional because of the whole fiasco and that some just want to move on. It was very interesting.
I again was one of the main people to talk which irks me a little as I want others to talk and express how they feel but alot of people won't do that as thay are too shy or just unwilling to do so. There is another classmate that talks alot, moreso than me, which is hard to believe but a few class members started to get a bit narky that she talked everytime, whereas I like others putting in input just she may need to realise she could back off a bit. But all in all the perceptions we have of others and how their tone and body language comes across will change how we think they are actually coming across and also will make us see them differently, we automatically make a judgement call about people but as I said today the step to being judgemental is letting how you decided they are dictate how they really are to you instead of letting the person change your mind thus being able to be a good person and not letting how you first thought about the person dictate how you treat them. Until next time I will be studying, working and looking after Izabellah.
